I was inspired by the GameMaker tutorial – Make Your Own Arcade Space Shooter – and I didn't like the basic theme, so I decided to add in a nondescript Federation ship as the player's ship. I liked the idea so much that I decided to turn it into a Star Trek fan game about shooting the Borg. Defeat as many Borg ships as possible. Home, Again is a short, science fiction visual novel about Mallory, a weary spacefarer tired of the endless search for a place to call home while her crewmates perish. Originally based on my script Journey to the Crimson World (a part of my writing portfolio), this game brings the story to life with visuals and interactivity, offering a different perspective on Mallory's journey. The dialogue choices will affect several dialogue sections, and an invisible karma system determines three different endings. I am unsure if I will ever turn this into a full story or game.
