Confession: I didn’t write anything at all yesterday. I know I should have, but I was too engrossed in reading a novel, Vampire Hunter D: Tale of the Dead Town. Reading is research for writing, so it wasn’t a waste at all. Not to mention I really enjoyed the novel.
After a few nights of flu-like symptoms, I’ve caught up again. In all honesty, I was already ahead of my word count, but I’ve wanted to push myself even further. I’m slowly catching up with where I’d like my word count to be, but it’s a long, hard road.
The dreaded “Week Two” is setting in. Tonight, not only did I use Google Docs’s strike-through feature for the first time, but it’s the first time I’ve ever used it in a story. I’ve just finished my writing session but not by my choice. One of my characters betrayed the protagonist. This was not planned at all. I am actually sitting here dumbstruck and trying to find the words to describe what the hell just happened.
This evening I managed to write a good chunk of my Nano story. I daily word count aim is one thousand words, but I managed to surpass over one thousand seven hundred. Along the way, two new chapters appeared and my main character threatened to break a teenager’s arm. I didn’t know he was going Read More …
Firstly, due to internet issues, I couldn’t compose and post this last night. Yes, it’s a day late, but at least it was due to factors beyond my control for ones.
