Camp Nano, April 2015: Day 5 – Silent Hills

Today’s writing segments have been a great success. Not only is the plot starting to take shape, but I managed to write 4390 words. That’s the most I’ve ever written for anything. It’s one of the few moments in my life where I’m quite proud of myself.

I’ve been writing while listening to the Silent Hill 2 Soundtrack. Its haunting and wordless melodies have helped me write some of the deeper sections of Skin. It’s been a nice change from the compilations I have been listening to. It seems video game music works quite well when putting down words. Tomorrow I’ll have to scour for Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts OSTs.

I’ve also finally written down all of the characters, their motives, and some history behind each of them. It’ll help me keep track of what’s going on and how to spell some of the names.

For now I am calling it a night. I’ll be curling up with my Doom 3 novel and will try to make some progress in that as well.

I feel sorry for the poor sod who has to edit my novel. Oh, wait…

On a side note, I’ll be using Grammarly for most of my grammar support during this event.
